“A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.”
During his training on Dagobah Luke Skywalker learns the following teaching from Master Yoda: “A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defence, never for attack,”. This quotation illustrates the heart of Jedi teaching.
This can seem difficult to make sense of as the Jedi do use weapons on a regular basis to fight the enemy. The action of Luke during his battle with Darth Vader show that he had taken this teaching on board. When Luke had the chance to finish the enemy with a fatal blow, he threw away his lightsaber. At this point, Luke became a Jedi.
Using the force for gaining knowledge offers a greater power to a Jedi than using it for becoming a victor by use of extortion. Yoda shows that knowledge is power not the use of a superior weapon.

Knowledge is power
One of the greatest resource ones can have is knowledge. How happy one can become and help depends on knowledge. Knowledge refers to useful ideas and information got that can be applied in real life situations.

Acquire, accumulate and retain knowledge
Most people can acquire knowledge and let it go away before they even apply it. This is the same as putting your treasures in a bag which has a hole. Wisdom should be acquired, treasured and well used in times of necessity. Anything can be changed, a bad state can be changed to a good one.
Any knowledge that can have an impact on us must be acquired and this should be what we are on the lookout for at all times.
Make sure you acquire it even if you don’t need it at that moment. You should never accept any experience to just allow the meaning to evade you. Any knowledge acquired has an impact on us.
Knowledge should be acquired at all times and one should not choose valuable ornaments over it. Knowledge can do everything that precious things can do. Knowledge is the best wealth that one can accumulate, it is also evident that the more we work to get knowledge is more worthy than working for money.
Knowledge has the capacity to fill in gaps in wealth that has more value and can satisfy our wants.
